NDTV stands for "New Delhi Television"

NDTV represents New Delhi Television. It is an Indian TV media organization, a piece of presumed news and ways of life network in India. It was established by Radhika Roy and Prannoy Roy in 1988. It is India's first and biggest private TV channel identified with news, current issues, and amusement. The majority of the country's best and popular columnists are essential for this channel. Brief History

• In 1989, it delivered 'The World This Week' which was appraised among India's best five projects.
• In 1990, it had delivered the live inclusion of the yearly Union Budget.
• On August 31, 1994, the organization got a new testament of consolidation and its status was changed from private restricted to the public restricted organization.
• In 1997, it had gone into an agreement with STAT/NTVI for delivering news content for its 24 hours news channel.
• It won the Asian Television Award for Best News Program in Asia for Star-News and BDA International Award for Star News.
• In 1998, it began creating content for the Star-News channel, presented NDTV Online with MSNBC, and pronounced the co-sprinter up for Best Current Affairs Program in Asia.
• In the year 2000, it had begun the creation of non-news programs like Yes Minister for BBC Hindi.
• In 2001, it went into an agreement with Vijay TV for the creation of Tamil news projects and won 6 Hero Honda ITA Awards.
• On April 14, 2003, it presented two news channels, NDTV 24x7 and NDTV India.
• In 2004, it turned into an autonomous news telecaster and tied up with WorldSpace to air news.
• On January 17, 2005, it presented its business channel NDTV Profit.
• In 2006, it went into a key coalition with Karan Johar and Dharma Productions.
• In September 2007, NDTV dispatched India's first city channel, "MetroNation".

As of July 2008, the directorate of NDTV affirmed the foundation of another organization for the studio, creation offices, and so on
