NCC stands for "National Cadet Corps"

NCC represents the National Cadet Corps. It is the Military cadet corps of India that gives essential military preparation to the understudies of schools and universities. It involves the Army, Navy, and Air Force. It means to prepare understudies for restrained and energetic residents. It is settled in Delhi and its directorates are situated in various conditions of India. As of July 2017, Lt Gen Vinod Vashisht is the Director-General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC). The official tune of NCC is named "Hum Sab Bhartiya Hain". It is composed of Sudarshan Fakir. The prepared NCC understudies are not at risk to join dynamic military administrations after finishing the preparation.

Aphorism

The Motto of NCC is "Solidarity and Discipline". In satisfying its aphorism, it goes about as a durable power of the country that unites the adolescent hailing from various pieces of the nation and grooms them into joined together mainstream, and trained residents of the country.

NCC Flag

The current NCC banner was presented in 1954. It has three tones: Red, Dark Blue, and Light Blue. These tones portray the three administrations of the Corps, for example, red speaks to the Army, dark blue speaks to the Navy and light blue speaks to the Air Force. In the middle, it has three letters NCC surrounded by a wreath of lotus.

Brief History

  • It was first begun in Germany in 1666.
  • In the mid-1940s, Pandit Hradaya Nath Kunjru proposed the setting up of a cadet association in schools and universities at the National Level in India.
  • It appeared in India on 15 July 1948 after the National Cadet Corps Act was acknowledged by the then Governor-General.
  • In 1948, the Girl Division of NCC was set up to give equivalent occasions to class and school going, young ladies.
  • In 1950, the Air Wing was added and in 1952, the Naval Wing was added to NCC.
  • In 1963, after the 1962 Sino-Indian war, the NCC preparation was made mandatory.
  • In 1968, it again got intentional.
  • NCC cadets filled in as the second line of the guard during the 1965 Indo-Pakistan war and 1971 Bangladesh-Pakistan war.
