Brief History

James Bullough Lansing was brought into the world on 14 January 1902, in Macoupin County, Illinois, U.S.

• In 1927, Lansing Manufacturing Company was established in Los Angeles
• In 1941, Altec Service Company obtained the Lansing Manufacturing Company.
• In 1946, Lansing left the Altec and established another organization, James B. Lansing (JBL) Sound Inc.
• In 1949, James B. Lansing passed on and William Thomas turned into the new leader of the organization.
• In 1954, JBL presented the 375 high-recurrence pressure driver and 075 UHF (Ultra High Frequency) ring radiator driver.
• In 1955, the D-130 model was coordinated into the intensifiers that permitted JBL to go into proficient music.
• In 1969, Sidney Harman obtained the JBL from William Thomas.
• In 1970, JBL entered the studio business and positioned first in the US recording industry overview led by Billboard.
