It is the lower standard that comes below Upper Kindergarten (UKG). Most of the school provides this facility before admitting the kid to kindergarten. Generally, the kids who are of three-four years of age are usually admitted to this grade. As per the focus area is concerned, the grade is basically is all about the introduction to school life. kids are mostly exposed to different types of games and this is done intentionally so that kids feel at home so that they develop the willingness to attend it more. During this course, a constructive way of learning is done by the means of games and it also promotes a healthy atmosphere where children are asked to explore new activities so that new hobbies could take place.
In India, according to Indian education, before exposing the child to primary education, schools promote three years of preparation period in which there are divided hierarchy that is; Nursery, Lower Kindergarten which is followed by Upper Kindergarten.
Activities in LKG swing from having written, playing music, painting, singing, etc, are promoted. This is done to facilitate the better mental state and well-being of a kid. Despite the perks it gives, it is still not mandatory for a kid to go through this.
