For changing the profile picture you must have an account on the Instagram app if you have not made one. To begin with the process you need to tap on your profile icon which is present at the last of the bottom row. Here one page will be opened and beneath your profile details, tap on EDIT PROFILE. Once you have tapped on the edit profile key one blue line on the next page will be opened naming - CHANGE PROFILE PHOTO.

After tapping it will give you various options for selecting your favourite topic. If you want to replace the picture with the existing one then go ahead with a new profile picture option, but if you no longer need the picture on dp then tap on REMOVE PROFILE PICTURE.

If you want to send a new picture then as said, tap on the new profile picture, and once again it will pop out with new options to select the picture either from the gallery or click and paste it right away.  Again if you want to add filters in your pic or want changes then apply different filters and can add brightness or colors into it. It means you are editing the picture.
