Compared with 14nm-class DRAM, Samsung Electronics' new 12nm-class DDR5 DRAM can reduce power consumption by about 23%, increase wafer production capacity by about 20%, and support speeds of up to 7.2 gigabits per second (Gbps), equivalent to It can process two 30GB ultra-high-definition movies per second. Samsung Electronics completed the DDR5 DRAM compatibility evaluation with AMD in December last year, and will continue to expand the production line to meet the needs of customers using data centers, artificial intelligence (AI) accelerators, and high-performance computing (HPC) technologies.
