• RBL was set up as a little, local bank in Maharashtra in August 1943. First and foremost, it had two branches in Kolhapur and Sangli. 
• In August 1959, it was sorted as a Scheduled Commercial Bank. 
• In July 2010, when Mr. Vishwavir Ahuja turned into the MD and CEO of RBL Bank, it went through an extreme change from an old private bank into an expertly overseen new-bank.
