Speaker #1: Shafique Khan, Assistant System Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services
https://www.linkedin.com/in/shafique-khan-8b344b119/

Topic #1: Introduction to Computer vision and CNN

Abstract:

Computer vision’s potential is suddenly clear across a broad swath of industries, making it one of the fastest-growing trends. It has quickly gone from niche to mainstream in the past few years.

In a vision, CNN is playing an important role as CNN can learn location invariant features automatically by leveraging a network architecture that learns image features, as opposed to having them hand-engineered (as in traditional engineering).

In this session, we will learn about computer vision basics with its traditional algorithms to create basic drawings in an image. We will learn how to use OpenCV to rotate an image by different angles also we will learn about the basics of CNN, how CNN works, different available CNN architectures. we will learn how to detect different objects using imageAI library.

Speaker's Bio:

Shafique has been working in the IT industry for 2.6 years. He's a key member of the computer vision research team in Analytics and Insight unit at TCS. currently pursuing a Post Graduation in Computer Application from IGNOU, B.Sc in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai.

Prerequisites:

Basic understanding of python or any programming language

Duration: 2.5 hours

Speaker #2 Ravi Kumar, Intern of Data Science department of RMgx

Topic #2:Hands-on a face recognition model using one-shot learning

Abstract:
Intro to One-Shot Learning, how they work. We will implement one-shot learning to build a face recognition project using a single image of a person, Use of Face recognition in the industry.

Speaker's Bio:
Ravi has been working in Data Science for a year. He is interning at the Data Science department of RMgx and also he is Facebook deep learning facilitator. Prior to this, Ravi holds a Facebook private AI scholarship and Google Android scholarship. Once he holds a global rank of 2000 in hackerearth. He holds a B.Tech in Computer Science from Greater Noida College Of Technology and also qualified GATE in 2018.

Prerequisite:
