Intel shock chip manufacturing center, and TSMC is involved

The "chip war" between IntelSamsung and TSMC actually reflects the competition between the United States and South Korea in the international #semiconductor field.

Today, #TSMC has the most advanced foundry technology, and its powerful foundry capabilities are the strongest in the world, but #Samsung and Intel have never hidden their ambitions. Samsung used the "silver bullet storm" to catch up with TSMC, while Intel used some means to try to snatch TSMC's orders in the US market from TSMC, and accused TSMC of building a factory in the US as an unreliable chip manufacturer. However, Intel's strategy has not had much effect.

Not long ago, when #AMD publicly accused TSMC of subsidizing US chips, they even publicly accused #Intel of defrauding them of subsidies. Obviously, Intel's popularity in the US market is not high, mainly because Intel's chip manufacturing capabilities are not strong enough. To this end, Intel has increased its investment in Arm, focusing on key links in chip manufacturing.

Asml has EUV and DUV lithography technology, while Arm has EUV and DUV technology. Although Arm does not manufacture or sell chips by itself, Arm's architecture is the most popular in the world, such as #Huawei#Ali#Qualcomm#MediaTek and so on. Because of this, when Nvidia wanted to acquire Arm, it was opposed by many people and ultimately failed. However, Intel once again held the trump card.

According to media reports, Intel announced that its foundry department will reach an agreement with the British Arm chip design company to ensure that Intel will manufacture chips for mobile devices such as mobile phones on this platform. This also means that any chip based on the Arm architecture will be produced by Intel as its "first choice". This has caused trouble for TSMC to build a factory in the United States.

As we all know, Intel has been trying to snatch TSMC's orders in the United States from TSMC. Although it has not been successful, Arm has helped them a lot because most of their companies in the United States have adopted Arm's architecture. If both companies choose Intel, TSMC's business in the US market will be greatly affected.

In fact, Intel doesn't just want to stop TSMC, but wants to influence other Chinese companies that adopt the Arm architecture. If Intel becomes an American company again, they are likely to be forced to stop supplying Chinese companies because of the US technology blockade.
