How to write requirement document for new software idea.

When thoughts get the form of words , you are ready to become the thought of the world.

Thoughts in the right format of words can become the thought of the world.

Many people have challenges in writing their thought in any document. Special in the case of any Software project many people or clients create the wrong format for their project requirements.

There could be multiple stages of the Requirements file, in this blog, we will discuss only the early (Initial) stage of the document. Here is a practice to understand the documentation for any idea. After that, we can achieve the next level or stage of documentation which will help developers or Investors to understand. 

  1. Write your wish - This means whatever the solution you are going to introduce, just write each wish point to point.
  2. Do Research over the Internet or society that the idea is new or exists in Society. If Existing, read more about that concept and compare what new we are serving and then write.

There are two aspects - OLD or NEW ideas.

  1. If your idea is new you have less competition but have more challenges to develop a user need.
  2. If your idea is OLD you have the benefits of user experience and the reliability of the concept we are going to introduce in the market. This means most of the users are friendly with the concept you have to put less effort to explain them.
  3. Identify your capabilities - Write everything or every skill you have to contribute to the concept 

For Example - Design, Programming, Content Writing, Logo Design, Flow Chart, Financial management, Marketing, etc.

  1. Find out the available resources and aligned everyone according to the availability.

  1. Write down every capability of the project or the final product, which means you have to explain what your project can do. To make it simple just sit before a mirror and start voice recording and then explain to yourself what your product can do or changes or solutions can be possible through this project and then play that voice and write each point.   2. Write down the launching date - If something is not on the calendar it's not going to happen.
  3. Decide a budget for a particular time duration.

For example - for starting 1 year we planned to get it done within 50 lakh.
